Frequently Asked Questions

Your Questions, Answered

Are there accessible toilets?

There are on site toilets which are accessible friendly

Is everyone DBS checked?

Yes, the dance teacher is DBS checked and has insurance. Our volunteers and assistants are also DBS checked.

Can my parent, guardian or support worker watch?

As with the last question, it's best not to have parents, guardians or support workers in the session space. This is to help you focus on the other dancers, instructors and assistants.
People are welcome to sit in the outside corridor so they can be near if needed at any time.

Do I need my parent, guardian or support worker to stay with me?

While we would suggest not having anyone to stay with you, if you feel you need them there they are welcome to assist you.

What if I can't do the dance moves?

It doesn't matter, we understand that not everyone can do the all of the same moves. We will gladly adapt around you and your needs to find a way to get you involved.

I have never danced before, does it matter?

Not at all! Our main goal with each session is to have fun and get moving. Learning dance moves and putting them together will come naturally over time.

How do I pay?

Each week when you arrive, we will collect £3.50 from you in cash upon entry. Unfortunately we cannot offer card payment at this time.

Do I need to bring a drink?

Yes, moving and dancing can be a lot of work. We suggest bringing a drink with you to each session. Especially when it's hot!

What do I need to wear on my feet?

We reccommend wearing socks (grippy ones are best) but if you would prefer bare feet - that's fine too!

What should I wear?

You are welcome to wear loose clothing you are comfortable and can easily move/ dance around in.
